The KHF fund for international cooperation mainly comes through donations from individuals in Korea. The fund is used to support development projects in developing countries. A development project should contain the following elements: being oriented to poor people and their community, raising the people's self-awareness of their situation, organizing the community to full participation and cooperation on the project, mobilizing their own available resources, and engaging the socio-economic situation of the poor as a community.

Project proposals must be submitted via email or post using the application form provided by KHF. The duration for the implementation of the project should be less than one year. In the case of a long term project that lasts more than one year, a new application should be submitted for consideration every year.

Once approved and financed by KHF, the organization or group proposing the project should submit an activity report and a financial report after the project is completed.
